In Europe, we have a bit of an obsession with beer, don’t we? And in Dublin, you’ll find the best of the best, from pale ales to porters. This sentiment is shared by a brewing company that has named Dublin one of the best cities for beer fans to visit in Europe.
The company, Uproxx, is based in the US and has picked ten cities in Europe with the best beer and best beer experiences. Obviously, with the Guinness Storehouse and plenty of beer tours, Dublin was always going to feature on that list.
Senior Drinks Writer, Chris Osburn, writes this in praise of Dublin’s beer scene:
‘Clearly, the home of Guinness is a huge destination and worth the trip alone, but the city is also home to a ton of craft breweries like The Porterhouse Brewing Company, Rascals Brewing Company (grab some pizza while you’re there as well), and Dublin City Brewing. Add to that the countless bars and pubs serving up pints, fish and chips, and bangers and mash if you’re still on the fence about going to Dublin.’
We concur! Nothing goes better with a pint of beer than a lovely pint of fish and chips. It’s just a known fact.
Other cities featured on the list included:
- Munich, Germany
- Bamberg, Germany
- Cologne, Germany
- Leipzig, Germany
- Brussels, Belgium
- London, United Kingdom
- Plzeň, Czech Republic
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Rome, Italy
All have different things to offer, from delicious wheat beers in Germany to the delicious Italian beers on offer in Rome. Dublin reigns supreme in our hearts though.
