This will have the city looking even more beautiful than usual.
Chinese New Year is approaching fast and, even though we can’t celebrate to the full this year, the city is still gonna look pretty damn great.
Due to the pandemic, most celebrations are off, but Dublin is still going to get a nice makeover of lights to commemorate the new lunar “Year Of The Ox”.

The organisers of the event said: “For the 6th year running, we are partnering with @TourismIreland
to light the city red for Chinese New Year.
“So if the City Centre is within your 5KM or you’re travelling to and from work, keep an eye out for recognisable buildings and landmarks lighting up red from 11-14 Feb.”
Some of Dublin’s best known buildings will light up red for the occasion, which has been the tradition for the last six years. This will take place between February 11-14.
The Chinese Embassy also shared the message, saying: “As we move closer to the Spring Equinox, let us hold firm in solidarity and take solace in the transformations that Spring will bring and the joys of Summer which, although we still have some distance to travel to them, are surely awaiting us.”
Celebrations will also take the form of an online event, including panel events, cooking tutorials and more. Details can be found here.
