Whether you’ve lived here all your life, or you’re just passing through (you’ll be back; we guarantee it), city tours are a great way to learn more about the capital’s history, architecture, and how Dublin came to be what it is today. CityDays take a refreshing approach to the classic city tour format; instead a guide leading you around Dublin, or following a map yourself, they’ve jazzed things up to include mind-boggling puzzles, engaging stories, and stops at a pub or two…
What does the CityDays Dublin city tour entail?
CityDays exploration games are phone based. Once you’ve made a purchase on the CityDays website, you’ll receive a briefing text, ready for you to gather your group, and head to the starting point of your tour on a day of your choice. Once you’ve texted “START”, the outdoor escape room-style game will begin.
The succeeding clues and puzzles will lead you around the city as you solve individual mysteries, revealing fun facts and insights into each location. Throughout the experience, CityDays will also provide pub, bar and cafe recommendations, should you wish to pause the game (which you can do at any time) and refuel. There are even discounts available at some establishments, thanks to the game.
On the CityDays Dublin mystery walk, ‘A Path to Dubh Linn’, you’ll uncover engaging stories about the city’s folklore and history, and encounter tales on political and literary heroes. Discover the city icon who is said to still haunt the capital’s streets, identify Viking influences and learn much more. You’ll venture off the beaten track to learn hidden secrets, and get a closer look at iconic historic landmarks too.
The CityDays Dublin city tour is perfect for any style of group – from intimate dates where you play together to competitive sessions against family or friends. Whether you’re after a unique hen do, an (actually fun) corporate day out, or simply a Saturday afternoon activity with your pals; it’s up to you. Players can enter the city-wide Dublin leaderboard, competing for top spot and cash prizes; are you up for the challenge?
