Time for some Christmas movies.
This may be a slightly different Christmas than what we’re used to. After all, it is 2020 so you shouldn’t really be surprised that many activities are restricted or off the cards completely.
But, that really doesn’t mean we can’t have any festive fun. And, finding a safe way around restrictions comes a new piece of winter Dublin fun.
Yes, a drive-in cinema screening lot of lovely festive movies is coming to Dublin for the end of this bizarre year. Hosted by the ferry terminal in Dún Laoghaire, eight movies will be displayed on the big screen.
The drive-in cinema kicks off on Saturday, December 12 with a double-bill of Frozen (2pm) and The Grinch (6pm). The following day, viewers will be treated to The Polar Express (2pm) and Home Alone (6pm.
Then, the following weekend (December 19-20), the cinema shows Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (2pm) and The Muppet Christmas Carol (6pm). Finally, the last day sees screenings of Arthur Christmas (2pm) and Fred Claus (6pm).
So, get down the the pictures for a fun and safe day out with the whole family for some great festive cheer. Lord knows we need it this year!
