Shame we can’t enjoy it in it’s full glory this year.
This year might be a very different Christmas than we’re used to, but we’ve got our fingers crossed that come, 2021, the festive season will be back where it belongs.
Despite these new type of celebrations, Dublin has been named one of the best Christmas destinations in the world. In a study by Big Seven Travel, Dublin was placed at 13 for the best spots to visit to enjoy some festivities.
We narrowly pipped Newport Beach, California (14), and Dahlonega, Georgia (15), but came in just behind Coburg, Germany (12) and Mont Tremblant, Quebec (11).
Speaking about Dublin’s Christmas fun, Big Seven said: “What better way to get in the Christmas spirit than with a few pints of Guinness and black pudding. If you’re all about the Christmas food and drink, Dublin is the place to be. In the heart of the Emerald Isle, you’ll find more cosy bars than you can manage all decked out in holiday flair. That’s not all though; the other holiday offerings include the decorated shops along Grafton street perfect for winter strolls, theatre performances and classic Christmas carolling.”
It’s tough to argue with any of that, isn’t it?
The top dog of Christmas, however, is Dresden, Germany, which took the top spot. They came in just ahead of Woodstock, Vermont (2), Franklin, Tennessee (3), New York (4), and Moscow (5).
Let’s climb that list to number one after the fully-realised Christmas returns!
