Following the success of their restorative yoga sessions, our favourite 360-degree art exhibition, Klimt: The Immersive Experience, is back with a new, tranquil activity beneath the wondrous artworks. Mindfulness at Klimt: The Immersive Experience encourages Dubliners to embrace zen-like practises at its Artane Place venue. The debut session will take place on Friday, January 19, so you’ve not got long to bag your tickets.
What are the benefits of Mindfulness at Klimt: The Immersive Experience?
Over the course of an hour and 15 minutes, attendees of this tranquil session will be encouraged to unwind both mentally and physically. The session leader at Mindfulness at Klimt: The Immersive Experience will demonstrate breathwork techniques, lead a guided meditation, and create a relaxing sound bath. At sound baths, sound waves ‘wash’ over you, promoting a sense of calm.
Under the gorgeously gold artworks of Gustav Klimt, splashed from floor to ceiling around you to create a zen-like atmosphere, the mindfulness session is said to release stress and anxiety, and balance the left and right sides of the brain for better concentration.
The mindfulness session starts at 7pm, and if you opt for a combo ticket, you can then explore the whole Klimt: The Immersive Experience exhibit later in the evening. The exhibit features the stunning artworks of the modernist painter on a huge scale, with interactive elements and a VR experience – you can find out more here.
