These two county Dublin towns made the cut.
We know that Dublin is *probably* the best place to live in the world. And, although more towns could have made the grade, it’s affirming to see two of our lovely towns in the top 20 of The Irish Times‘ “Best Places To Live In Ireland” list.
Malahide and Cabra both made it into the final 20 places in the competition run by the publication. Lovely Malahide, in fact, was the most heavily nominated place in the whole of Ireland, with 320 entries.
A total of 470 locations were nominated, with 2,400 people overall putting names forward. Other spots include Carrick-on-Shannon, Killarney, Gorey and more.
In mid-September, the top 5 finalists will be named, with the victorious spot announced on September 25. Let’s keep hoping Malahide and Cabra make a clean sweep then!
