A couple of days ago One Direction’s Niall Horan popped up in Dublin to play an exclusive gig at Fuel, catered for by the one and only Meltdown toastie spot. You can tell he has a sense of humour – his new single has the very same name.
The Westmeath native was there to promote his new single, ‘Meltdown’, surprising everyone. Maeve O’Malley, owner of Meltdown (thanks for all the delicious toasties, Maeve), writes:
“When I got asked to cater for a secret fan event, I never thought it was going to be the one and only @niallhoran. He was as sound as expected and I can’t believe his next single is called Meltdown.”
Niall Horan is well known in Dublin for repping Ireland in the incredibly successful band One Direction but he’s now gone solo and this gig was an opportunity to introduce fans to the new track. He describes the meaning behind the lyrics as “basically about feeling anxious and being in that kind of freaking out moment but knowing deep down that everything will be alright.”
Of course, although the song shares a name with Dublin’s beloved toastie spot, it isn’t about toasties. Although, we bet a delicious toastie from Meltdown would make you feel like everything will be alright.
