…You will have a sixth and final season hitting your screens by the end of the month.
That’s right, Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and the gang are due to be gracing BBC One for the last time, premiering on Sunday, February 27. Episodes will then air weekly at 9pm each Sunday.
What we have to go on so far is the teaser aired over Christmas, outlining the “one last deal to be done” before the beloved show comes to a head in the final episode named “Black Day”.
Though the finale is pencilled in for this year, Peaky Blinders fanatics shouldn’t need to panic just yet. The show’s creator Stephen Knight confirmed last year that a Peaky Blinders film following the series was in the works, and would begin filming in 2023.
The film will be set and shot in Birmingham, the base for the show that first aired in September 2013. Little is known about the project so far, but Knight previously said to NME that the film will “probably be the sort of the end of the road for Peaky Blinders as we know it”.
There’s not much new Peaky Blinders content left, so we’d better soak up as much enjoyment from the final season and film as we can. Look out for the sixth season of the show hitting BBC One on February 27.
