Pottery and pints the best combination since lockdown and ending.
Some things just go together. Well, to be quite honest, pints go with a lot of things. Just ask anyone who is still ecstatic at the reopening of pubs. So, alongside your delicious glasses of beer, why not try out some relaxing pottery making?
Imirt Cré are a Dublin company that specialise in pottery and pints events as part of creative therapy. While lockdown saw these pause for nearly 18 months, they triumphantly kicked off once more in style last month. They even sold out their first event in just six minutes!
After getting your hands covered in (clay) muck, what better way is there to unwind than having a sip of your pint and beaming at the wonderful creation you’ve just moulded?
The business is run by ceramic artist Michelle Collier, who experts in helping Dubliners craft some wonderful pieces with their bare hands. All events are BYOB, which should help get those creative juices flowing. You can find out about their upcoming events via the Pottery and Pints Instagram page, and recent days have been held at the local Dublin 8 art space, Block T.
Pint and pottery is the combination you didn’t know you needed but now have to try.
