Pret A Manger has announced that all in all it’s hoping to open 20 locations in Ireland, including a flagship location on Dawson Street in Dublin. This expansion into Ireland from other European countries where the brand already exists will create up to 500 jobs in the country.
So what can we expect from this well-known chain? Well, Pret A Manger is known for its sandwiches and pastries. The coffee and sandwich chain will create up to 500 jobs with the expansion. The menu (in the UK, at least) offers breakfast rolls and countless sandwich options, including plenty of vegan options like their vegan egg mayo sandwiches.
You can also buy salad-based wraps and crispy wraps, plus hot food like soups, porridge and even katsu curry. Plus, there are plenty of tasty coffee options that certainly rival the other big chains (in our opinion).
‘Prêt à Manger‘ is French for ‘ready to eat’ (kind of). It was inspired by the French phrase ‘prêt-à-porter’, which means ‘ready to wear’. However, this isn’t a French chain. Pret opened its first location in London and since then the brand has grown exponentially.
There are now 324 locations in London alone and the brand can now be found in France, the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium. It seems that Ireland is next and we can expect the first location on Dawson Street this summer!
