“I’ll have three of your finest bamboo sticks, please.”
Well, it’s safe to say these guys aren’t panda-ring to the social-distancing laws across Ireland. [Featured Image: La Cucina, Twitter].
Like every restaurant across the country, restrictions mean that La Cucina in Limerick cannot welcome their usual clientele for a lovely evening meal. But, a new solution has been found and, my lord, it’s quite brilliant.

La Cucina’s tables have been filled with some chipper little stuffed pandas, who have evidently been enjoying tucking into some bamboo pizza with no disturbance from pesky humans. Guys, as long as you wear a mask when you leave your seat, that’s all okay with us.
The restaurant said that: “The place was miserable and empty so we filled it with replacement customers.” And, what a fine set of replacements they’ve proved to be, eh?
They sure look like their having some wonderful craic, and I wish we could share a few of their Peronis with them. Plus, it goes without saying that we imagine La Cucina keep them suitably stuffed throughout their dining experience.
Bon Appetit to the lucky pandas – we hear La Cucina are serving Woody, Buzz and the Toy Story gang next week. Apparently they tip well. Less of a panda-monium, too!
