Woahhh, we’re halfway there!
While it’s been a while since any of us have experienced the joy of live music in it’s true form, or a simple trip to the cinema, you might be able to do a bit of meeting halfway this summer. [Featured Image: Microstocker.Pro, Shutterstock*].
That’s because, thanks to Retro Drive-In, Dubliners can enjoy a host of screenings this summer in the safety of their cars. Enjoying outdoor cinema like they often do in American movies, Retro Drive-In are planning screenings of a whole host of movies at Leopardstown Racecourse, from E.T. to The Incredibles to Joker to A Star Is Born.
Plus, you’ll get to experience a concert again, with planned screenings of musical events. This will start with a showing of Bon Jovi’s live-streamed concert on May 22. While it won’t be quite the same as a proper gig, viewing it live on the big screen is about as good as you can get in these times, right? More live-stream screenings of concerts are also in the works throughout the summer. Tickets for the live(ish) concerts are priced at €55 for a car of up to five people, and go on sale this Thursday, April 29 at 5pm.
As for the cinema screenings; they kick off this week, with a screening of A Star Is Born at 8pm on Thursday (April 29). Tickets for screenings cost €31.90 for a five-seater car spot, and €33.50 for a seven-seater space.
