The café have recently started serving children breakfasts before school, who may not have eaten otherwise. The kids can grab a container of porridge and some fresh fruit, donated by McCormack’s Fruit & Veg in Rush.
Free porridge is available to takeaway for all school-going children at Skinny Batch (Rush & Lusk) from Monday to Friday until 9am.

It’s a great way to ensure that the kids in the area get a healthy, warm breakfast and can go on to have a productive day at school.
A month has gone by since the initiative started and they are still going strong. It’s brilliant that these kids now have somewhere to go — after all, breakfast is supposedly the most important meal of the day.
