Dublin’s famous Temple Bar pub turned on its Christmas lights last night.
The lead up to Christmas in central Dublin may not be quite the same this year. It’s not clear when pubs will reopen and, unless they’re lucky enough to live within a 5km radius, there won’t be many people roaming the streets. But, uncertainties aside, nothing can stop the famous Temple Bar pub from getting into the Christmas spirit. (Featured image: @templebarpub)
Deciding they couldn’t possibly wait any longer, the Temple Bar pub has gone ahead and put its annual decorations up. A big, beautiful tree hangs on the corner of the pub, and is set against a magical light display that is giving us all the feels. Sure, it’s early—but we could all do with a dose of festive cheer to get us through, don’t you think?
Level 5 restrictions are due to be lifted on December 1, but there has been some controversy over whether pubs will be allowed to reopen on this date. For now, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed, heat up some mulled wine, and scroll through festive photos on Instagram. ‘Tis the season to live vicariously through other people and all that.
