What more could you need?
If you live near Wicklow Way, you’ll have reaped the benefits over lockdown, given that the beautiful landscape and mountains were well within your 5km. [Featured Image: @offthebeatentruckcafe].
And now, those lovely morning walks–which we’re sure you’ll continue to go on even when the 5km limit becomes 20km next week–are to be blessed with some lovely java on the route.
Yes, The Beaten Truck is opening up in Wicklow Way, giving you a lovely way to punctuate your daily lockdown walks with a hot drink and a treat. It might even give you that much-needed caffeine push to finish your long walk through the wilds of Wicklow.
Should the Crone Woods fall within your walking limit in Dublin, you’re in luck. You can set out for a hike and stop off to grab a cake and a coffee from this charming new hut.
The Beaten Truck is open in the Crone Woods every weekend (Fri-Sun, 10am-4pm), so those newcomers within 20km of the spot can enjoy its tasty benefits from Friday, April 16.
The truck is made from 1996 horse-box, and has been renovated using recycled materials and is the creation of Laura Hayden. Judging from the photos, a fantastic job has been done in making the truck look that great, and we can’t bloody wait to pay The Beaten Truck a visit once restrictions allow!
