We’ve had a glimpse of what it might be like to live in a sunny country, with beautiful, balmy temperatures. However, now Dublin’s weather is set to return to business as usual. So, if you’re planning drinks in the beer garden or getting ready to fire up the barbecue then you should probably do it today because forecasters are predicting a pretty grim, yet predictable, April in Dublin.
This afternoon we’ll see thermometers hit 16°C in the city, but it’s downhill from there, unfortunately. Tomorrow will be slightly colder, with highs of around 13°C with some showers, and then drop to around 10°C the next day.
From April 5 until April 9 there will be plenty of rain and we won’t really see consistent sunny skies until April 26. So, sitting in the garden on Easter Sunday is probably out of the question because it’s set to be around 11°C with showers in the afternoon.
We predict that there will be plenty of Dubliners searching for flights this week to escape the miserable weather but it looks as though most of Europe will be experiencing a cold April with plenty of showers. Even in a city like Madrid which is usually dry and warm, there will be lots of rain and temperatures only a few degrees above Dubli’s. There’s no escape!
