Who doesn’t love pizza? It’s definitely one of the best things to ever have come from Italy and it’s eaten the world over.
In fact, it’s been a part of the Irish diet for so long now that here we have some of the best pizza places in Europe. This has just been verified by the Naples 50 Top Pizza event, with Dublin’s PI Pizza coming in at number 41 on the list!
This is a huge achievement, given how many cities and countries were contending for a list on this place, and it’s obvious why this delicious pizzeria has been named one of the best in Europe. The Neapolitan-style pizzas have the most incredible, crispy bases with just a kiss of charring on the top.
You might think that a crispy base means a thin crust around the edge but that’s not the case at PI Pizza! On the contrary, the crust is fluffy, light and voluminous, made using the finest 00 flour.
The Nduja Pizza has been highlighted as the stand-out option at PI Pizza. It’s made with scamorza, tomatoes, basil, nduja, parmigiano reggiano, garlic and nduja and my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Alongside a selection of delicious pizzas, including a couple of vegan options and several veggie options, they serve the most mouthwatering desserts. There are only a couple of options, including vanilla ice cream and a salted caramel budino, but they’re just what you want after stuffing your face with pizza.
Also representing Ireland on the list in the Galway based The Dough Bros, coming in at number 79 and the list does include restaurants from Italy itself. It’s definitely worth checking out the list of the best pizzas in Europe, especially if you’re planning a European trip any time soon and enjoy yourself a slice!
