“Even the creators of Black Mirror couldn’t make this year up.”
Yep, this year has been its own real life Black Mirror episode across the world. [Featured Image: @blackmirror, Twitter].
The hit show, which now airs on Netflix, has 22 episodes and feature length film satirising potential dystopian futures. But in this case, the source material has unfortunately been provided by this awful and scary year. Scarier than any of the really-quite-creepy episodes, and that’s saying something.
Yes, “Death To 2020” is due before the end of the year, and will give the Black Mirror treatment to this year. Much of what the episode includes has been kept under wraps, but a short teaser has been released. We do know that it’s been described as a “comedy event that you’ll never forget”.
“Death To 2020” also has a star-studded cast, including Samuel L. Jackson, Lisa Kudrow, Hugh Grant, Tracey Ullman, Samuel Kayo and many more.
We saw the epic Bandersnatch interactive Black Mirror film drop in between Christmas day and New Year back in 2018, so hopefully we could see “Death To 2020” at a similar time.
All we know is that we can’t wait to hear Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones’ take on this year.
