Earlier this year, we told you about the long-awaited sequel to Enchanted, which underwent filming in Dublin (they clearly knew what they were doing) and was even on the lookout for extras.
Aptly titled Disenchanted, the filming of the sequel to the 2007 provided a healthy dose of excitement throughout the summer, as a whole new village was created for the magical kingdom over in Wicklow. Plus, the transformed town even opened up for visits during filming breaks.
Now, after the Hollywood setup was brought to Dublin, all we can do is…wait. The excitement of the filming has wrapped up, leaving only the anticipation of how Disenchanted will look on our screens. And we’ve just been given a time scale for just how long we will have to wait it out.
Come this time next year, we’ll be preparing our snacks and booting up the film, as it was revealed that the sequel would drop on Disney Plus in Autumn 2022.
Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, who are both reprising their roles from the original, took to Instagram for Disney Plus Day to make the announcement. They also confirmed that the original title Enchanted had been put up on the streaming site. Guess we know what we’re all watching in preparation for next year’s release then…
