We’re looking forward to a balmy June bank holiday weekend but we’ll have to deal with some terrible weather before we can enjoy it, with thunder and even flooding predicted this week. The price you have to pay for good weather, ey? So how’s it all expected to play out then?
Thursday
Tomorrow morning will feel much the same as today. It will be mostly dry and even sunny at times, with highs of up to 18°C. Don’t get too excited though because more and more clouds are set to emerge throughout the day and it’s likely to rain in the evening, with lows of around 6-9°C.
Friday
There should be some sunny spells but the rain’s set to return with a vengeance. There could even be some surface flooding as downpours combine with thunder and lightning. It might not feel very warm as a breeze is expected too but it could still hit 18°C. In the evening the rain should let up and it could be a clear night.
Saturday and Sunday
The actual weekend is set to be pretty pleasant, with temperatures reaching as high as 20°C and a likelihood of dry, sunny periods, although it could rain a little. In the evening it could stay warm, with lows of around 70-10°C, which, in Dublin, means that nobody will be wearing a coat.
Monday
The bank holiday Monday is supposed to be largely dry, with highs of 21°C possible. It’s not quite the Med but it’ll do! So, get the sun cream out and enjoy yourselves this June bank holiday weekend, but make sure you take an umbrella to work this week!
