Give us all of it.
This summer, the start of it anyway, is going to be all about outdoor dining and drinking across Ireland. The date is set for June 7, which is sure to see outside seats filled up with happy diners reuniting with their favourite spots.
We’ve already seen that there are plans in the works for pedestrianised streets in Merrion Row and other destinations, and now we can also get excited for a “street food summers” on Poolbeg Street. Mmm, street food. Just the thought of a box of our favourite grub and a pint in the sun is all getting a bit much at the moment.
The owner of The Vintage Kitchen, Sean Drugen, confirmed the popular spot would be serving food to go outside on its street come June 7. It’s a solution to the limited number of seats some restaurants may able to provide, given indoor service won’t be resuming until July at the very earliest.
Realistically we won’t see inside dining for sometime as we’re small and even when allowed indoor with guidelines it isn’t a great experience. So for the summer we’re doing street side food. Working on a map of nice seated areas in our area where you can eat our street food.

The pedestrianisation of streets and the sale of food outdoor is sure to make the return of hospitality trade a very memorable one indeed.
Basically, give us the street food summer and sunny weather we’re all craving, Dublin. Is it really too much to ask?
