The stunning, medieval Malahide Castle sits just 25 minutes from Dublin in the beautiful Irish countryside and every year it hosts an incredible festive lightshow. Wonderlights has a new theme every year, and this year’s theme is ‘The Night Sky’.
You can already book priority, advance tickets with a 15% discount on the website, for November 4-17, which is why we’re telling you this in September. Honestly, doesn’t Christmas start earlier every year?
Tickets are €20 for adults and €16.50 for children. Students benefit from the same price as the kids, too. So what can you expect from this year’s magical light show?
Wonderlights takes place in the sprawling woods around the castle and this year you’ll see a galaxy of stars projected alongside meteor showers, Arctic forests and even the Northern Lights. It’s set to be breathtaking – just imagine the look on any child’s face, walking through what seems to be an enchanted forest.
As daylight fades and the nights grow longer, it won’t be long before we’re off buying Christmas presents and feeling firmly in the festive spirit, and we can’t wait! Previous themes at Wonderlights have included Castle of Light and Ireland by Night, and this year’s theme promises to be just as astonishing.
