Now, if you don’t drink, you’re the designated driver or simply don’t to brave a hangover, you can still get in on the Guinness act. It boasts the same taste, dark-ruby colour and texture so you can sip away until your heart’s content.

This godsend is due to hit Irish retailers next month, so the wait is very nearly over. Better still, the heavenly liquid is set to hit pubs across the nation early next year. And, if you thought they could do no more right, think again. Guinness 0.0% is low-calorie with only 70kcal in a standard 440ml tin.
Parent company of Guinness, Diageo said: “The filtration process allows the alcohol to be filtered out without presenting thermal stress to the beer, protecting the integrity of its taste and character.”
This is hoping to provide us with the “same dark, ruby red liquid and creamy head, hints of chocolate and coffee, smoothly balanced with bitter, sweet and roasted notes”.
